India Government Mint, Mumbai (A Unit of SPMCIL), Reference Material Producer Division, is most trusted name in India to manufacture high pure gold CRMs. This certified reference material of high purity gold is primarily intended to be used as proof Gold /Reference standard for gold in Fire Assay process. The fire assay process is considered the most reliable method for accurately datermining the content of gold in gold and gold alloy.
The Reference Material Producer Division has produced its third batch of high pure gold CRM. Earlier BND-4201 and IGMM-CRM-4N-23-1, high pure gold CRM batches were produced.
The third batch of certified reference material i.e., IGMM-CRM-4N-25-1 has been successfully produced with the assigned property value of gold. The following forms are produced,

- Wire-10 g
- Rolled Strip-10g
The 5 g block high pure gold CRM is developed for analytical instruments like ICP-OES, Spark-OES, XRF Spectrometer etc.

This certified reference material of high purity gold in wire and rolled strip forms are commutable to be used as proof Gold/Reference standard in gold fire assay process as per the testing standards IS 1418:2009/ ISO 11426:2021 /AS 3515.3:2019 etc.
